Before you continue, please read the following policies:
We welcome your ideas and suggestions. If our site is going to be a community endeavor, we need your involvement.
However, we reserve the right to edit any lesson plans or materials for length or content. Submitting materials for inclusion on the site will be considered your confirmation that the materials are original creations or that you have written permission to use them. If you use secondary source material, document those sources.
Your name and address will be included on the materials that you submit, unless you indicate another preference. We can not possibly check for copyright infringements on all submissions; therefore, we do not assume responsibility for those materials submitted by other people. We also have no money (we are teachers), so we cannot pay you for your submissions. The reward for your contributions is the satisfaction of helping others learn.
One other thing: all of the material on this site may be used in the classroom free of charge. However, nothing may be downloaded, transmitted, or republished for commercial purposes. This policy governs the material you find here, as well as the material you submit.
Please observe the following formats for submissions that will become part of the site:
Suggestions and Feedback may be given in any format you wish. Just let us know what you think.
Articles for the Historical Archives should use the MLA Style Manual for documentation. (We know that is not what is used here, but we will make the minor changes to comply with the style template.)
Lesson Ideas and Activities require no set format.
On Lesson Plans, include the following information to help others adapt the lesson for their purposes:
- title of the lesson and content area(s)
- intended grade level(s)
- time required for the lesson
- your name and institution or address
- overview of purpose
- statement of objectives
- overview of procedure
- teacher or student resources needed
- method of evaluation
- Academic Performance Standards addressed
- source(s) used
Click Here is my input if you accept these terms.
