Contributors and Resources Contributors:
We relied heavily on two primary sources as we built the historical archives:
Gaye Lisby, publisher of Branson Living Magazine, allowed permission for reproducing articles and photographs from that publication. She also supplied many unpublished materials for use on the web site.
Lyons Memorial Library, College of the Ozarks, supplied many photographs and, of course, textual resources for our research. We also used their equipment for scanning and formatting some of our content. Nancy Anderson is the director of the library.
Phil Carman, director of the Center for Writing and Thinking, College of the Ozarks, allowed us to use the CWT to work on the project.
The following teachers either supplied work for the Lesson Plans and Ideas section, or shared ideas with us, which we then developed into specific plans or activities:
Lisa Davis, Green Forest High School, Green Forest, AR
Sherry Dobbs, West Junior High, Columbia, MO
Joy Ewing, Rolla High School, Rolla, MO
Matt Jackson, West Junior High, Columbia, MO
Dorell Kirschner, West Junior High, Columbia, MO
Lanette Tice, Springfield, MO
Several Forsyth and Hollister students have writings which appear in the Student Work section. They presented these works at the 1999 This Community: Voices of Our Youth Writing Project sponsored by Project Taney, Inc. Unfortunately, last names were not recorded on the material submitted to us for publication.
