Oral History Project
We are looking for students who:
*like history.
*have some digital-technology skills.
*enjoy people.
*are team-players.
*are self-motivated.
*would like the opportunity to help preserve history for the future.
*would like volunteering and serving the community.
We are in the planning stages of putting together a team of student volunteers to work on a cooperative oral history project about the people and places of Christian, Douglas, Stone, and Taney counties. The project will involve interviewing older members of our communities about their lives and archiving those interviews in both electronic and print form. Videos, photos, and transcripts of project interviews will be made available to historians and educators and students of Ozark history. There will be lots of leadership opportunities for the right people. Interested? Contact us at Project TANEY, Inc. via e-mail mpswaters@yahoo.com.
