Water, Water Everywhere

 

The following suggested student activity was created by a team of teachers during a summer workshop in conjunction with Southwest Baptist University.

Working in cooperative groups, have students research answers to the following questions. Ask them to report back to the class. As a class, students can then decide how to communicate the learned information to the community at large.

Science 8; SS4,5 *How and why should I test my water?

*What is the relationship between Karst topography and our water supply?

Social Studies 4, 6 *How does the water affect the economy?

*What organization takes care of the water?

Comm. Arts 3; SS6 *Who researches the water quality?

*What literary material is available on water quality?
